I think my date night with Jennifer will start at the old Eastern Butcher Block warehouse in Providence tomorrow night.
Please join artists, preservationists, city officials in previewing the rebirth of the former Eastern Butcher Block Mill in Providence's Valley District (25 Eagle St.) at 5:30pm on Thursday, March 24th.
A project of Butcher Block Mill, LLC and managed by Partnership for Creative Industrial Space, the historic preservation of the Joseph Banigan Rubber Co. (1896 to 1910) along the Woonasquatucket River signals a true industrial reuse of the buildings into affordable incubator space for artists and creative businesses.
The evening includes a 20,000 sq ft site specific multi-media exhibition entitled EBB & FLOW co-curated by R.K. PROJECTS and Neal Walsh. A percentage of proceeds on the exhibition is being generously donated by the curating team to RI CFA.
In addition, Alex & Ani, an eco-friendly jewelry design and manufacturing company based in Rhode Island is creating a limited edition set of jewelry for sale at the event. Again, a percentage of the proceeds will be generously donated to RI CFA.
Thursday, March 24, 2011 - Starting at 5:30 pm - 25 Eagle Street, Providence
