We're one today

One week of fun at the new South County OOP!  Thanks for all your kind words and support.  We've met so many great people.

Covered in Paint is fun, fun ,fun

So we are going great guns to open the new South Kingstown store.  With any luck we will be open this weekend.  While we are painting and building down South the oopsters in Providence are holding down the fort with some great happenings for Mothers Day and Beyond.  Read all the news below

yup, it was Jennifer who missed the spot and had to walk back over the wet paint to make it perfect.  Of course we had to do it all again cuz.....The floor needed sevearal coates to cover.  A special shout out to the nice lady at the Home Depot paint dept.  She was the best!!

It's a family affair.  The boys helped paint the office.  We all got Ice cream since they were so good, while we painted.

New Store News:

OOP! at South County Commons

Well it is now official.  OOP! is opening another store in South County RI.

I cant wait.  Jennifer, the boys and I have had a love affair with South County since 1997 when we bought our Beach House "The Shi Shi Shack".  Our Beach is East Matunuck.  We can be spotted frequently on Jims Dock with hot dogs or lobster and a beverage. 

So it is with grand excitement that we are moving OOP! closer to our promised land.

We will take up permanent (summer) residence at the shack

shortly.  Summer for us starts April 1st and goes through at least Halloween.

The OOP! store will be 1600 square feet, similar to Providence Place in size but loaded with big beautiful windows to the outside world.  Sho gun will keep us in sushi and Brewed Awakenings will keep us filled with Iced Coffee's.  Wow!, what great neighbors.

The signs are up and we are hiring.  Do you know someone interested in retail, looking fo a fun one of a kind experience?   Tell them to email me a resume.  davidriordan@oopstuff.com is were it needs to go to get to me.  OOPSTERS are cleaver, fun, smart, outgoing and a bit quirky.

This week the ceiling goes in and the walls get painted.  We hope to start merchandising by mid April and be open for the first or second weekend in May.
